In slightly more recent news, Elane completed her New Year’s resolution already this year by running a half-marathon.  The weekend after our Jamaican vacation she ran the St. Luke’s Half-Marathon in Allentown.  After being in the Kingston heat for a few days it was quite a shock going to the chilly weather in Allentown that weekend, but was perfect running weather.

Elane trained to run the race with her sister Emily throughout the winter to prepare for the race.  Emily also made the trip up from North Carolina to run the race too.  They both ended up finishing in great times and felt happy to accomplish such a feat!  Elane even finished 26th in her age group!
